When I See You

When I see you
I feel like my world
Got brighter
Light comes in
From inside my soul
A smile can't leave my face

You're that sunshine
In my storm
That sends the thunder away
Shuts out the lightning
Drys up the rain

You're the moon
In the darkest nights
Illuminating the world below
A white glow on Earth's surface
Making the stars blend into space

When I see you
I know that everything will be okay
I know that there's nothing I can't do
Because you make my imagination grow
My heart run, leap, and soar

Fantasy Deceptions

I guess you all can figure out that I really like poetry, so I guess I'll stop mentioning in each post that it's a poem. Enjoy.

I don't know how long it took

For me

To realize

That my fantasies

Are only the hopes

That tie me down to this earth

That allow me to dream and wish

The Impossible

But let me tell you this

As fake

As unrealistic

As foolish 

As they are

They are my only comfort and joy

In my ongoing sorrows

There may come a point

When I may no longer care

And no longer dream

And no longer imagine

And no longer create

And that will be the day

I detach myself

From my fantasies

From my hopes

In my ongoing sorrows

And that will be the day

I let my hopes 

And dreams

And wishes

And imaginations

Disappear from my heart

From my brain

From my soul

The day

I drown in my ongoing sorrows

For that will be the day

They take over me 

And leave me

With no hope

The Night Sky

I guess once again, I'm in a poetic mood. So once again, here's another quick poem:

The night sky
Black
Purple
and
Blue
A mix of the darker hues
Dotted with twinkling stars
Illumined by the glow of the moon

The Effort to Know

I was feeling a bit poetic, so I decided to write a poem on something that I think is important in the world.


People who you could trust

Who you thought you knew

From friends

Became foes


People take the time

To judge you for how you look

For how you think

For who you are


But never truly take the time

To understand

Why you are

The way you are

To try and accept you for it

Flaws and all.


If a friendship had value

There would be consideration

And respect

And care

To understand that no one is devoid of problems

But everyone goes through them

And passes through them

Differently.

Introductions

Hey everyone!

I've recently realized that I really enjoy making art, writing, and just thinking, and I thought that maybe I should restart and continue my blog...

And so I have decided to do so :)

I plan on posting some of my artwork and poetry, and occasional ramblings and writings of the sort, because I really do enjoy giving the world an insight into my own, personal world. And yes, it is an intentional pun; I do think my URL & title fit in nicely with expressing myself :)

Anyhoo, I hope y'all enjoy my blog and the things I post! I do appreciate suggestions of things to draw and write, so feel free to give me ideas and requests in the comments! And also, don't hesitate to give me feedback on my work so that I can improve myself!
